Ride The Wind Rally 2008
The second annual "Ride The Wind Rally" began on Friday, June 20th, 2008 with breakfast and sign-in staged at Wades Drive Inn at the junction of highways 191 and 12. The "Sign In Crew" and the "Drive Inn Crew" greeting the participents were identified by their 'Snowy Mtn Trading Post' t-shirts. At departure time eight motorcycles and eleven bikers left the staging area in perfect weather and headed West on highway 12 to the
Bair Mansion Museum near Martinsdale.
After touring the museum we went on into Martinsdale and ate lunch at the Crazy Mountain Inn that is famous for its soups and deserts.
After lunch we proceeded West on the Lennep Highway to the tee corner just North of Ringling where we turned North to White Sulphur Springs.
After stopping at the Town Pump in White Sulphur Springs for gas we headed East on Highway 12 to the Cornerstone Cafe in Harlowton.
Five card stud poker hands were dealt to each rider and their passengers. The trophy for Best Hand and $20.00 went to Larry Steuben of Harlowton. The trophy for Lowest Hand and $10.00 went to Ken Widdicombe of Harlowton. The trophy for Worst Hand and $5.00 went to Misty Castle of Big Sky.
A drawing with each of the tour participents entered was held. A Harley Davidson T-shirt with a matching coffee mug donated by MidTown Market was won by Ken Widdicombe of Harlowton. A Nut Driver Set donated by Harlo Auto Parts was won by Greg Muller of Harlowton.
Jason DeShaw & The Country Way Concert began at 8:00 PM at the Holloway Arena in Chief Joseph Park to end the day with excellent entertainment.
The "Show and Shine" followed by the particpants parade through Central Avenue was held in front of Snowy Mountain Trading Post's shop building on Saturday, June 21st. Nine motorcycles were entered in the competition. First Place/Judged was won by the 2003 Indian Spirit Roadmaster owned by Larry Steuben of Harlowton, Montana. Second Place/Judged was won by the 1993 Harley Davidson Wide Glide owned by Marty Clifton of Aurora, Colorado. Oldest Motorcycle was won by the 1967 Matchless G15CSR owned by Larry Steuben of Harlowton, Montana. Best Rat was won by the 1968 Yamaha AS1C owned by Nicholas Heesy of Harlowton, Montana. Best In Show/Peoples Choice was won by the 1993 Harley Davidson Wide Glide owned by Marty Clifton of Aurora, Colorado.
A drawing with everyone that viewed, voted, judged and participated in the 'Show and Shine' was held. A Harley Davidson T-shirt with a matching coffee mug donated by MidTown Market was won by Charles Pinger of Harlowton. A Tie-down Set donated by Painter's Ace Hardware was won by Adam Jones of Harlowton.
There were thirty motorcycles in the parade which included the show bikes, spectator bikes and 18 bikes from the Lewistown Tour Club.
Jason DeShaw & The Country Way capped off this fine day providing musical entertainment and dance at the Moose Lodge.
The Motorcycle Rodeo started at 10:00 AM on Sunday, June 22nd at the Holloway Arena in Chief Joseph Park. The Rodeo Judges were Vista Lea and Norman Sillivan, ten contestants entered the competition and 36 spectators came to share the fun.

A raffle for a Cordless Drill donated by Central Lumber was held including the names of all of the participants which was won by Misty Castle of Big Sky, MT
The grande finale of this rally was an old fashion picnic in the park with fantastic food prepared by Liane Kent of Harlowton, MT.
