Rodeo 2010
The bike tour began with breakfast and sign-in starting at 8:00 a.m. at Wades Drine Inn located at the junction of hiways 191 and 12 on the East side of Harlowton, Montana. At 10:00 a.m. nine riders headed West in nice spring weather toward White Sulphur Springs on seven motorcycles. Starting at 11:00 the group began a very interesting tour of the Castle Museum in White Sulphur Springs. Lunch was enjoyed at Dempsey's Tavern from noon until 1:00 p.m. when four of the riders left the tour to head home due to threatening weather reports. The rest of the group headed for Fort Logan located 27 miles West of White Sulphur Springs. After a short investigation of the fort and some picture taking the tour headed South to Martinsdale. Along the way to Martinsdale a very nasty looking storm cloud developed a little farther South of our route and paralleled our trip back to Harlowton. The next day we learned that this storm had a tornado traveling with it and that tornado took the roof off of the Metra Building in Billings, Montana just 90 miles east of Harlowton. Everyone who signed up for the tour received an Invenergy Windmill Pin. Everyone who finished the tour received a Snowy Mountain Trading Post t-shirt, a Festival Of The Wind t-shirt and a propeller ball cap.
